Form Activator
==============

Caution!
--------
Since v5.5 RK includes a new activation technique using
a module from Karl E. Peterson (thanks!)
If you have no trouble with the activations of any windows,
you will not need this module. Maybe this option is required
for W95 user only.

Caution!
--------
Because the Karl E. Peterson technique work very good, this
function was removed since v7.3.
If needed (W95) the last version which includes this module
(v7.2) will be available to download from www.freewarehits.de
now and in the future.
Because the interesting foundation information the following
description was not removed from this manual.

For what is the Form Activator needed?
--------------------------------------
To understand the necessity of this function it is necessary to
understand a little about the method how RK works.
If you click on a button to send something to an application, RK
has the focus in this moment. Before it starts to send
something, it must give the focus back to the application where
the user come from. In the standard mode (if the Form Activation
function is off) it uses a "set focus" function from a Windows
operating system library. In many cases this works good but
there are unfortunately exceptions. These exceptions are that in
some windows the cursor of input lines is not flashing after the
window got the focus back.
A typical example for this behaviour are internet forms, no
matter if you use Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape
Navigator.
The result is that not only one keystroke reaches the input line
of a html form.
So the programmer of RK must found alternate methods to activate
an application because the possibility to fill out forms was a
central functionality for him and his own use.

--> Note
The settings for the Form Activator are valid for the session
only and will not be saved on disk if not specially checked.
This is to avoid not wanted results in the next session if the
user did not remember the current setting.
